Horse lovers streamed through the Los Angeles Equestrian Center’s Equidome May 4-8 for the 13th Annual Fiesta of the Spanish Horse Charity Horse Show and Spectacular.

Over 300 horses were in attendance over the four-day event, which included dressage and driving as well as breed-specific classes for Andalusians, Lusitanos, Friesians, Paso Finos, Peruvian Pasos and Tennessee Walking Horses.

The evening of May 7 the Equidome came alive with an audience of over 2,500 spectators there to see the visual spectacular that is the climax of the show, which raises funds for the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

A silent auction was buoyed by donations from the TV shows “Castle” and “NCIS.” Celebrity supporters in attendance included “Castle’s” Jon Huertas, director Martha Coolidge, actress Leslie Charleson and Wyatt McCrea, as well as the Consul General of Spain.

“The special Parade of Cancer Heroes was very moving,” event organizer Joanne Asman said, offering “a big thank you to all the people that helped make this show a success. It could not be done without our wonderful volunteers and staff.”
