The Compton Jr. Posse’s 2011 fundraiser was a sold-out event, drawing a glittering and enthusiastic crowd of supporters to the Marina Del Rey Yacht Club, May 21. Highlights of the event included the unspooling of a very special video, documenting the Posse— from barnyard to blue ribbons —created by honoree Kathy Vara and her husband Rene, presentation of the Yvonne Burke Scholarships, and a special musical performance by the Posse juniors.
