Bosom Buddy Bags
Every time we return from the American Equestrian Trade Association show our employees and customers are always excited to hear about what new products really wowed us. This past August, one of our favorite items was not a riding breech, show jacket, or saddle, it was a line of products called the Bosom Buddy Bags! Even though we were dressed for blazing summer temperatures, these elegant one-of-a-kind bags made us immediately think of the upcoming holiday season, as they make for the perfect equestrian holiday gift. The bags come in a variety of shapes and are adorned with beautiful ribbons and horse-themed embellishments. The bags are made from Ata Grass, a vine indigenous to Bali, and the natural golden color comes from slow-smoking the material over a honey and coconut husk fire. Each Bosom Buddy Bag is crafted by hand, so some variation is to be expected and serves to make each bag unique. They are eye-catching and charming and a great way to make an impression on that special equestrian lady in your life.
Lilo: Leather Goods of Spain
For more than 15 years, LILO Collections has produced some of the finest equestrian-inspired jewelry, belts, accessories, scarves and leather goods. Whether shopping for your trainer, barn buddies or the special man, woman or child in your life, there is something to be found here for everyone on your list. For a great stocking stuffer or Secret Santa, check out their fun “Rio” key rings, which come in a variety of patterns and colors. We also love the adorable Bermuda Baby Bucket canvas tote bags, which feature the LILO horse head leather patch on the front and an internal zip pocket and cell phone holder to keep you organized. In addition, each bag comes with two charming ribbons, so you can accessorize to any outfit! For a more personal holiday gift, check out the LILO bracelet collection. Our favorite this season is the Nudo bracelet. It features a beautiful silver knot that is paired with a fine leather braided strap. It’s available in five great colors and is a simple and elegant accessory to accent a modern wardrobe. Available at Glenroy’s Equestrian Gifts at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center.
Claudia Anderson Kids Clothing
With an extensive background in designing children’s clothing, it was natural that Claudia Anderson launch an equestrian collection once her daughter caught the horse bug. Her cute and soft tees and tanks are favorites among every wide-eyed little girl that wanders into our store, as well as parents and grandparents looking for the perfect holiday gift. All of the fabrics are thoughtfully acquired from all over the world, from France to Peru, giving each piece a unique look and feel. Her onesies have been very popular at our store, as have her couture-inspired tote bags and ribbon belts. Whether the child you are shopping for is already a rider or is simply horse crazy, they will all love something from this fun and feminine collection.
Vintage Editions
Handcrafted Wooden Accessories for the Home or Barn
When we set out to redecorate our store earlier this year, one of our main goals was to revamp our tack department to resemble an elegant and classic East Coast tack room. We needed some trunks to store our excess items, and fell in love with the beauty and detail in craftsmanship of the Vintage Editions Tack Trunks at Glenroy’s Gifts. We have since
directed several admiring customers next store to purchase these for their homes and personal tack rooms. The hand-crafted trunks come in three finishes and can be embossed with beautiful equestrian scenes — many with the original brass printing plates used in the early 1920’s and 30’s. These exquisite artifacts will be a standout showpiece in your living room or at the stables. Benches and larger furniture items are also available. If you are looking for a smaller gift, consider the quaint boot bench, desk-style box or a traditional serving tray.
