SmartPak Sparks Free Returns

Donnie Steele, vp of SmartPak, Tack and Apparel, says the idea is to recreate the fitting room “right in the comfort and privacy of your own home (or barn!),” extending a test period on everything from breeches to blankets. “If you or your horse try it on and it doesn’t fit, then you can return it, totally free of charge. Just use the prepaid return label we include with every order and we’ll take care of the shipping,” Steele said.
There is certainly something to be said for the tactile experience of visiting a local retail shop, not the least of which is gossiping with the sales girls (who at their best places have the total scoop on what’s about to hit shelves), and glimpsing the occasional cowboy (or, in L.A., actor researching a role).
Still, there are times when the exact thing you want just isn’t on the shelves, or there isn’t a good gear-and-apparel store nearby. It’s nice to have options, and in this day and age, it’s great to hear the word “free”!
