Tote-All Chic
By Staff Report July 30, 2013Look no further for the most stylish tote bags ever! Rebecca Ray American Couture has created an entire line of handbags and accessories around a love of the equestrian lifestyle – with a bit of canine appreciation thrown in for good measure – and quite frankly they are all beautiful.
But our favorite is the Maryann. Sizes range from tote to duffel, in vivid colors with vintage graphics that take us back to a warmer, more gracious era.
Constructed of durable duck canvas (and made in the USA!) these carry-alls conjure classic feed sacks and evoke the sporting life on the outside (and feature pretty floral lining on the inside).
Ray also has a line of fine leather purses like the Liza (decorated with equestrian grade nickel hardware and natural saddle leather accents) and the Daphne (with an adjustable strap and handmade tassel).
Her belts, bracelets and key fobs are well built and elegant. The whimsical, over-sized plastic luggage tags are a steal at $8 apiece (featuring a leather strap in brown or tan with brass or nickel buckle and vintage “Wish You Were Here” postcard script).
Ray, her husband and daughter reside in charming Chagrin Falls, Ohio, where they are restoring a historic 35-acre farm for a menagerie that includes 11 show dogs, three horses, two ponies, four English Lop bunnies and four cats. We look forward to seeing the photos when they’re finished!
