By Staff Report October 18, 2015Show jumping comes to the city that never sleeps Nov. 10-15, when the Las Vegas National Horse Show touches down at the South Point Equestrian Arena. In addition to the North American League Hunter and Jumper Finals, the Las Vegas National is one of only 14 North American horse shows to host a Longines FEI World Cup Jumping qualifiers (one of only seven on the West Coast).
A colorful Parade of Nations and an innovative opening act with Playing by Air precede world-class show jumping on Saturday, Nov. 15, when the $100,000 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Las Vegas, presented by Interactive Mortgage, takes place.
Among the competitors scheduled for coursework at the FEI World Cup Finals Champion are Olympian Rich Fellers, Olympian and Pan American Team Silver Medalist Margie Engle, three-time Winner of the Monte Carlo Grand Prix and Nations Cup Gold Medalist Richard Spooner, ranked sixth in the world, Kent Farrington, Nations Cup Finals Team Member and youngest Olympic competitor Reed Kessler, Olympic Gold Medalist Will Simpson, Global Champions Tour winner and World Equestrian Games Team Bronze Medalist Lucy Davis, Spruce Meadows Masters Team Gold Medalist Brazilian Eduardo Menezes, Member of two top Nations Cup Teams in 2015, Candice King, HITS $1 Million Grand Prix winner Ashlee Bond, as well as Australian Matt Williams and Irish riders Kevin Babington and Jonathan McCrea, plus up-and-coming show jumping stars Audrey Coulter and Hannah Selleck.
