HITS, Inc. has named Verizon Wireless  the Official Wireless Provider of HITS Horse Shows Nationwide.  HITS has been breaking ground with its event broadcasting.

On the Desert Circuit in Thermal, the company through its deals with AGoodShow.tv, iEquine.com and HRTV.com generated a webcast and a one-hour special around its AIG Thermal $1 Million Grand Prix.

The Saugerties, NY-based horse show producer also pushed the boundaries with its bi-coastal hunter webcast, pitting East Coast riders in Ocala against the best the West had to offer. The agreement with Verizon will no doubt support HITS president and CEO Tom Struzzieri’s ever-expanding vision of what it means to stage horse shows in the multimedia world.

Verizon Wireless operates the nation’s largest 4G LTE and 3G networks. The company provides products and services to more than 98 million wireless communications customers nationwide.

Struzzieri said the agreement is important in that it validates the appeal of equine sport to non-endemic brands. The agreement with Verizon also includes naming rights to the HITS-on-the-Hudson VIP club, which overlooks the Strongid C 2X Stadium and grand prix field. Seasonal tables are in-demand as they include the best seats in the house for the climactic Zoetis $1 Million Grand Prix on Sunday, Sept. 8.

The Verizon Club features menus created by Giuseppe Napoli, the gifted young executive chef at the Tavern at Diamond Mills, the restaurant at Struzzieri’s luxury boutique Diamond Mills Hotel in Saugerties.

HRTV plans to offer a wide range of programming from a variety of horse shows, including HITS-on-the-Hudson, this summer. Under consideration as the network puts together its schedule are such showcase events as the Zoetis $1 Million Grand Prix. Although most of the HRTV shows will be free, some , like the AIG Thermal $1 Million, will be premium and require a subscription. Rates are reasonable starting at $9.95 a month (roughly the price of a pay-per-view movie). Those who subscribe using the promo code HITS13 for the AIG Thermal $1 Million will get one month free.
