Riding Emma Waldfogel’s King’s Peak, Petaluma, CA-based rider Hope Glynn vaulted into the lead during round two of the 3’3″ HITS $500,000 Diamond Mills Hotel & Tavern Hunter Prix Final this afternoon, Sept. 7. The third placed horse and rider combination, Jenny Karazissis and Undeniable, are also from California. Karazissis is based at Far West Farms in Calabasas.

The original field of 80 was whittled down to 25 who will return to the ring with a fresh score to compete for the big prize money tomorrow.

The HITS $250,000 Hunter Prix Final also progressed to round two this afternoon. The 3′ competition is geared toward younger riders and AOs, providing an exciting final for different level of hunt competitor.

Robust participation in these HITS year-end hunter finals, staged in the beautiful new Outdoor Ring at HITS Saugerties, indicates company founder and CEO Tom Struzzieri hit a sweet spot with riders by anteing up top prize money as he brings his flagship Hits-on-the-Hudson summer season to a close with this Championship Weekend.
