2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah will compete at the Breeders’ Cup.

The Breeders’ Cup takes place Oct. 30-31 at Keenland, in Lexington, KY. It is the richest two days in sports, with $26 million paid out in purses and awards over the entire weekend. Thirteen races comprise the schedule, with NBC Sports broadcasting live from the event. Triple Crown winner American Pharoah is among those competing in the Breeders’ Cup Classic.  The Breeders’ Cup was launched in 1984. It’s main trophy is an authentic bronze reproduction of the original “Torrie horse” created in Florence by Giovanni da Bologna in the late 1580s.
