Ashlee Bond, Rich Fellers and Richard Spooner are the West Coast riders selected to represent the United States at the Rolex/FEI World Cup Final, taking place April 27-May 1 in Leipzig, Germany. The event will make World Cup history in that it is the first to feature under one roof the finals in three disciplines : dressage, show jumping and vaulting. Show jumping team selection was made by chef d’ equipe George Morris in conjunction with the United States Equestrian Federation, who also identified the riders that will compete on the first leg of the Meydan FEI Nation’s Cup Series, taking place in Europe May 11-June 5.

The United States team gallops ahead with the wind beneath its wings, having won the only CSIO 4* event scheduled for U.S. soil this year, the   $75,000 FEI Nations Cup presented by G&C Farm, March 4 in Wellington, Florida.

The U.S. brought it home with a score of eight faults, topping defending champion Canada, which had 16. Great Britain, Australia and Ireland all tied for third, with 37 faults each. The event also hosted teams from Venezuela, Mexico, Australia and Columbia.

Horse/rider combinations for the summer Meydan FEI Nation’s Cup Series were invited based on their Rolex/USEF Show Jumping Standings as of April 1.
