Horse activists are invited to City Hall in Victorville, CA

Wildlifekeepers.org has pulled together a rally and political fact-finding meet in Victorville tomorrow. Beginning at 11 a.m. with a rally outside City Hall, the event will then segue to a 1-3 p.m. community meeting with politicians and government agency representatives.

SoCal activist Randal Masaro conceived the event prior to this morning’s cataclysmic conference vote on the 2012 appropriations budget, but stressed its timeliness. “We want to meet face-to-face with politicians to discuss the wasteful spending of public tax funds to kill our wildlife.”

Masaro estimates the waste at “literally hundreds of millions of dollars,” and said he is ready to share hard stats and data. He’s issued the call to congressmen, assemblymen, county representatives – both incumbent and campaigning. He is hopeful of getting a turnout of six- to 12 officials, and is urging members of the media and public to turn out to make their voices heard.
